The dispute over the165 km Assam and Mizoram border has its origin in British era. In this conflict 6 police men were killed and more than 50 people were injured. This is the first time we are seeing inter-state dispute in the country.

The border dispute between Assam and Mizoram dates backs to the British era. We are civilized and modernized and yet we shed blood!
Today 5 police personnel were killed and nearly 50 injured. A peaceful permanent solution is needed for the hour.
